Thank you for expressing interest in volunteering for World Psychedelics Day 6·20. Our main collective goal is to make World Psychedelics Day 6·20 a great success -—you can help us make this happen! 

Or, you can continue on with us to help us raise additional funds so that World Psychedelics Day 6·20 continues as an annual event and gains the worldwide attention it deserves.

We are a nonprofit, based in Vancouver, BC. with additional support from people across Canada.  

We have many different volunteer positions and committees, if you’d like to join our team and connect with us at our next meeting, please read everything that follows and send your information to info@worldpsychhedelicsday.org or use the join us form at the bottom of the page.

At the moment, we are only recruiting for the positions below. Please reference the openings listed first and if you would like to apply for one of these specifically then please feel free to reach out. 

Make sure to include your résumé, a summary of why you are interested in volunteering with WPD and skills of yours that you believe an expanding non-profit organization and world event may benefit from

VOLUNTEER FAQ

CAN I VOLUNTEER IF I AM NOT FROM VANCOUVER?

Yes absolutely! Although most of our volunteers are based in Vancouver, some of  our volunteer opportunities can be remote .

HOW MANY COMMITTEES CAN I BE A PART OF?

You can be a part of as many committees as you are able to commit to.

DO YOU OFFER PRACTICUM POSITIONS OR CO-OPS?

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer these, but we can offer you some of our fabulous merchandise and, of course, your name and an expression of deep gratitude on our website.

Open Positions

For the defined Volunteer Roles below, a background experience in the relevant area is preferred. If you have any questions about these positions, don’t hesitate to ask us.

WE HAVE AN IMMEDIATE NEED FOR HELP MAILING OUT T-SHIRTS AND OTHER GOODIES TO OUR WONDERFUL SPEAKERS. THIS IS A VANCOUVER-BASED POSITION. 3-4 HOURS 

1)  SOCIAL MEDIA

Our team could help with continuing our social media campaign.  We would ask you to help us get the message out across all our social media platforms. 

Commitment 5 hours per week.

2) CONTENT CREATOR YouTube/Vimeo/Twitch

We would love help on our media team to help create original YouTube/Vimeo/Twitch content and to assist with organizing existing content. 

Commitment 5 hours per week

3) GRAPHIC DESIGNER/ANIMATOR 

To help guide the digital design direction of our upcoming virtual events and marketing efforts.

Commitment 3 hours per week

4) WEBINAR TECH ADMIN

Help to assist on the backend with our 6·20 Event. Being a liaison with the speakers (virtual) and helping to troubleshoot tech. 

Commitment: 2 hours per week

5) EVENTS MANAGERS

Help us on the day to coordinate Events and Celebrations happening across Canada for World Psychedelics Day.

6) WORDPRESS ADMIN

 Help to maintain and troubleshoot our WordPress website.

Commitment 3 hours per week

7) SOCIAL MEDIA AD DEVELOPER Facebook/Instagram

Help to create online advertisement campaigns for use across Facebook and Instagram.

Commitment: 3-4 hours per week

8) RUNNING THE STORE

We are in the process of creating an online store and could use some assistance with development and maintenance.

We are also looking for volunteers who would like to assist with the community aspect of the store we would like to develop. That includes accepting submissions from artists in our community and serving as artistic director for the store (with the possibility of a gallery and original art objects for sale).

Commitment: 3 hours per week

9) TRANSLATOR

Help to translate our materials into other languages: French, Spanish and  …
